COMING IN THE NEW YEAR: CHILD SOCIAL SKILLS GROUP
The new year will be here soon, so find comfort in community, and get your kiddo out of the house for a healthy after school group activity! Bridges to Understanding is offering social skills therapy groups in 2025.
This is a perfect fit for a child who may be labeled as shy, or a teacher may have asked you to help your child socialize more in after school activities, but your child does not want to do team sports. Find comfort in learning how to initiate conversation, how to communicate effectively, how to join with others in mutual likes, how to follow-up after you’ve taken the first step in talking to someone.
When: JANUARY 2025, Time TBD
Where: 132 Mill Street, Suite 210, Healdsburg, CA 95448
Duration: 8 weeks, 60-minute per group, closed group format. This means that the group you begin with is the group you will go through the duration of 8 weeks with.
Cost: To make this accessible to as many friends and families as possible, we are offering a reduced cost of $50 per group meeting.
BRING A FRIEND! If you would like to attend together as a friendship pair, we are offering a discounted price for the 2nd friend at $25 per session.

PARENTING GROUP
This 10-week program transforms how the parent understands the child, strengthens the parent-child relationship, promotes active reflection, and connects parents with their children on a deeper level.
At Bridges to Understanding, we believe in groups because “What is shareable is bearable.”
“Attachment Vitamins” group course was developed at UCSF as a prevention tool, meaning there does not have to be anything “wrong” to participate, just that you want to learn and grow as a parent.
A Parenting group may be for you if:
- You are the primary caregiver of a young child (even if you have older children, these concepts will still apply), an expecting parent, a new parent, a step-parent/blended family, grandparent, foster parent
- You often reflect on the way you were raised, either positively or negatively
- You are on a search for the meaning of why your child is behaving the way they do
- You are looking for support from other parents who may be experiencing some of the same things

WE WILL CONSIDER THIS FOR A VIRTUAL GROUP OR IN PERSON GROUP AS WELL, DEPENDING ON GROUP NEED
Duration: 10 weeks, 60-minute per group, closed group format. This means that the group you begin with will be the group you will go through all 10 weeks with.
Cost: To make this accessible to as many parents as possible, we are offering a reduced cost of $50 per group meeting. If you would like to attend together as a parenting couple/partnership, we are offering a discounted price for the 2nd family member at $25 per additional member.
