~ Spring is here, and Summer is right around the corner!
As we enter this season, let’s take a look at the successes of the year so far. Approximately 200 clients are served each week at our practice. The practice is celebrating its 10th year in business, and we have our community to thank for helping us help you. We continue to offer both in-person and virtual services, evening appointments, and with 10 clinicians on staff we have an incredible amount of diversity in the types of services and modalities of care we offer. Our Office Manager is a crucial part of the support you receive when you call to inquire about services- with a list of potential therapists so long you have no clue where to begin, calling therapist after therapist oftentimes without any response at all, you will find a different experience when you call Bridges to Understanding. We answer every call possible immediately, and if you leave a message you are guaranteed a same day or next day call back during business hours. Our niche focus of attachment, parenting, child and family work sets us apart from other therapists. Also, with our variety of clinician experiences, all populations are served with competent and effective care. As we are now into the swing of year, why not consider adding personal growth to your 2024 goals?
~ With Summer coming, now is the time to consider Psychological Testing services for yourself or your child. Summertime creates an opportunity to find time to explore what may be contributing to difficulty in reaching your full potential. We offer testing services for both children and adults, and this is the perfect service if you feel like you may have “fallen through the cracks” in school, or you feel like there may be some underlying reason as to why you find day-to-day tasks just a bit more difficult for you or your family members. Bridges to Understanding welcomes Dr. Jessica Hobson and Dr. Raquel Henry to help facilitate this service and find answers.
We are taking referrals for independent evaluations, and offering the following testing options:
Within these categories, we test for items such as processing abilities (memory, auditory processing, attention, etc.), academics such as reading, writing and math, and behavioral functioning and the underlying reasons as to why we see certain behaviors present. Testing services are available for youth as well as adults, and can help gain a better understanding of your own needs throughout a lifetime.
SUMMER GROUPS ARE COMING! With the excitement of summer, we would love to support your family in a unique way, by offering therapy groups! This combines therapy tools with peer support, and with the flexibility of summertime hours, it is the perfect time to check our pre-teen and teen groups out. We promise to make it fun while also being filled with skill building activities! REGISTRATION IS OPEN, SO CALL TO SECURE A SPOT.

Individuals, Children and Families, no matter what path you took, you are welcome here. Services include individual, family, play therapy, couples work, and overall comprehensive care to support the emotional health and well-being of clients of all ages. Searching for help can be a difficult task, and finding someone whom you feel comfortable with can be even harder. With our on-site Office Manager, we are like no other therapy practice- greeted at the door, phone calls picked up when you call instead of leaving many messages and never hearing back when you need help, immediate support through a phone consultation to help you with the process of finding a good fit. You can expect a safe place, listening ear, and confidential atmosphere. You will be guided through healing from the past, grounding in present, and setting goals for the future.
